Through sharing her personal story and experiences with anti-Black racism, sexual violence and more, Maya uses her words to spread messages of hope, encouragement and motivation.

Every speech is tailored to connect with your audience personally so that they may leave with the tools to become warriors in every aspect of their own lives.

Maya has spoken at events such as WEday in Ottawa, TEDxuOttawaWomen, Cannexus19 and more.

Spoken word performance

Spoken Word Poetry is beautiful art form that will connect your audience with your event and its message.

Since 2015, Maya has been performing spoken word poetry at various events around the city of Ottawa and abroad. She has shared her spoken word at business conferences, on Parliament Hill for the Senate, Historica Canada’s Black History Month Event, The annual Vanier Institute Families in Canada Conference, Ottawa's Black History Month Launch, charity events, church services and more.
